Welcome to the Database Management Wikia![]

The purpose of this Wiki is to provide a repository for information concerning general database design and management. The site is also intended to serve as a forum for discussion on these topics. While it will likely be geared mainly toward the relational model, articles on other models are welcome and encouraged.

As originally created, this Wiki is associated with the introductory and advanced database management courses within a public university [1]. However, it is not strictly limited to these classes. On the contrary, it is our hope that the global community will use and contribute to the knowledge contained within this Wiki. The more external influence we receive, the more useful this Wiki will become.

As the primary moderator of this Wiki, I ask only three things--first, do not publish inflammatory or offensive content.  If you want to trash a wiki, go somewhere else.  Second, all contributions should be well thought-out and stated. Redundant postings do not benefit the community nor do poorly written or poorly researched articles. Finally, I ask that you respect the Copyright laws as stated on the Wikia main page. Enjoy your visit and tell your friends and colleagues about this Wiki site!
